Hamburg Law Corporation has provided litigation and transactional representation for over 40 years, with a special emphasis on real estate and general business matters. At the current time, Hamburg Law is providing counseling to clients in an effort to to help them avoid litigation, and providing advice on litigation strategies if a non-litigation resolution cannot be achieved. Hamburg Law is not currently taking on new litigation matters for new clients.

Litigation:

  • Obtained multi-million dollar judgment against guarantors of promissory note

  • Proved alter-ego liability of principal of debtor and obtained judgment for over $2 million

  • Prevailed for prospective buyer in connection with liquidated damages deposit dispute

  • Obtained judgment against contractor and bonding company in construction defect matter

  • Defense of private lenders in lender liability case 

  • Defense of real estate broker in breach of fiduciary duty case

Transactional Representation:

  • Advised winery client in connection with $2 million capital infusion, working with client, investors' counsel, and investment banker

  • Advised client in formation of new online service, including providing advice on business structure and intellectual property issues

  • Assisted client in forming a limited liability company that made a documentary film and associated contract preparation and advice

  • Assisted landlord client in workout involving a tenant default
